One of the ways to make students into better actors is through practice, and in Introduction to Acting, practice is just what they do. Students move through a script; learning about the basics of script analysis and character development, until they are eventually tasked with putting themselves into the role of the characters, and performing.
Students are unable to perform, without scenes to perform with. That is where your help comes in! We need scene books, and lots of them in order to give students ample scenes to choose from for their final performances.
The internet, while accessible, doesn't always provide students with appropriate acting material. By having a full library in the classroom, I will be able to better monitor what it is that the students are looking through, without having to limit them to a small selection of scenes to choose from.
