Students enrolled in biomedical science are expected to be fluent in the mechanisms involved in the central dogma of biology. Gene expression is a complex biological process, and the molecular processes can be difficult for students to visualize.
Many of my students are kinesthetic learners, and they thrive when provided with hands-on, collaborative puzzles. This kit from Carolina Biology will allow my students to establish enduring understandings of the process, and allow them to work through the material at their own pace. This kit will not only be a wonderful vehicle for the content, but also offers an opportunity for students to practice their 21st-century skills.
