As a school community, we want to instill a love of reading within our students. One project we want to participate in is "Read for the Record." This program is a national campaign to bring young children together with valued grownups in their lives to read the same book, on the same day, in communities all over the world. Allowing each kinder student to have a copy of the book "Maybe Something Beautiful" creates a sense of joy, inclusion, and whole-group participation in Read for the Record. Also, students can take the books home, read with their families, and continue building on the foundation that we are instilling, which is to love reading!
