My focus in my classroom is students with learning disabilities, mainly dyslexia. We have a 45 minute small group instructional block in which we move through 10 different segments of learning. It is fast paced and each section must be thought out in order to keep the pace of instruction. My goal is to stay organized and to maximize engagement during our instructional time together. I try to keep my room supplied with engaging manipulatives that foster learning. Each supply listed is thought through in order to better their learning experience within my classroom. I keep books that support students with dyslexia and help them to better learn about their own "super power." Thanks to donors, I have been able to keep my goals of filling my classroom with engaging and systematic learning styles that foster an engaging and exciting learning environment.
