The main theme of my project is STEM Education. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM activities allow students to develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills through a hands-on and minds-on activity. STEM offers a positive outlet for students to dive into the task at hand and really enjoy the process. The STEM materials like the magna tiles and the tinker toys will be perfect additions to the STEM materials that I have already started collecting. When paired with some other resources, students may be tasked to build letters and numbers with the materials, create structures that resemble other structures like the Eiffle Tower, or even design and build their own creations! It is my hope that the students who enter my classroom leave a little bit kinder, develop a lifelong love for learning, and look forward to coming to school each and every day. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your consideration to donating to my classroom. I believe that these STEM materials will have a lasting impression on my students.
