These literacy centers will make a significant difference for the learners of the ASH because we work daily to improve reading skills based on the specific phonics skills they are lacking which are determined from reading assessments administered. These materials will be shared amongst our entire reading team which consists of 3 reading teachers, 2 literacy teacher assistants and myself. We work to collaborate with classroom teachers to improve reading instruction in all our grades, but are specifically concentrated to our K to 2 students. Since we are 3 classrooms deep, that consists of about 225 students! This is truly a minimum as we work to improve all phonics skills that our students are lacking and these amazing and fun interactive activities will also be used in grades 3. Our reading team and myself do our best to provide explicit instruction to our learners and to collaborate with all our classroom teachers. This will allow growth for all our learners!
