I would like to get this class set of Wonder to help inspire my kids to treat everyone the same even if they may not look or act what we consider "normal." I also think it is a perfect book for my middle schoolers to get invested in. I try to make reading fun and incorporate it into my science curriculum as much as possible. I believe reading this novel with them will help them embrace who they truly are and help boost their confidence and because the main character is passionate about space and science, in general, it is the perfect novel to incorporate into my class.
Wonder will be a great novel for my students to read because many of my students lack confidence in themselves. Many of my students are struggling readers and/or struggle with learning disabilities. It is so hard to find a novel to read with my students that they really like and want to read. This novel will relate to so many of them and I feel like they will be inspired as they read and really embrace themselves.
