My Life Skills Kindergartners are learning all about their own personal space, as well as, the personal space of those around them.
We started off the year using laundry basket boats and have now moved onto cube chairs; the next step to help my students understand their personal space is to have the ability to sit on the carpet in a shape and color and work on staying put without the sides of a cube chair or laundry basket boat. The flexible seating cushions will enable those students who have a harder time sitting still to have a sensory reminder of where they are seated.
