I teach the low level Algebra 2 students and Geometry; they desperately need individual calculators. I teach a large variety of students, most of which cannot afford a calculator. They have difficult home lives and getting a calculator for class is the least of their problems.
My students are my kids and their struggles become my struggles.
The great thing about my students is that regardless of the struggles at home, they are truly amazing kids. They have big hearts and want to succeed. They are looking for a brighter future, just need some help finding their way. They are the types of kids that remind me why I love teaching.
