These items will allow functional academic students to learn how to follow the laundry process from start to finish. The items follow the sequence from dirty clothes all the way to clean clothes. The steps involved will teach not only sorting clothes before washing but what to do after the dryer stops. The folding process will give the student skills that can be applied to a work setting. Many clothing retailers use folding boards to create that uniform fold for displays. All of these skills are helping these children move toward the ultimate goal of independence. The more tasks they can accomplish on their own is just another foot forward and toward this goal.
