My students will be able to have rich discussions and connect with peers by reading the classic "A Wrinkle in Time." They will use the books as an avenue to open up their minds to the power of reading and power through classroom activities.
My fifth graders will also have the opportunity to go see this movie in a theater once they've completed reading. They will be able to take notice of literary devices and styles and how this all transforms into a movie script. This will allow them to analyze different forms of media and put them in a position to have talking points of knowledge.
