I love STEM and so do my student. It's sometimes hard to engage middle school students, but I believe that these robots would do just that. They would also help my students improve their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. I would use these robots to help my students learn team building, leadership, and communication along with the computer programming.
I hope this will help spark an interest in engineering and technology for those students who haven't had the opportunity to experience this before. I plan on using these robots during an extension/intervention time at our school. This will give students the chance to get their hands on technology that they would not be able to experience at home. Many of our students come from low income homes where they can't afford this technology; hopefully this will level the playing field a little bit.
