In this digital age, it is increasingly difficult to get kids to want to read for pleasure. It is my goal to fill my classroom library with the sorts of books that will attract their attention and keep it.
I also want my students to read about students who are not like them. I think it is important to expose my students to people, places, and situations that we do not regularly encounter in Northwest Montana. Books can open up our world.
I give my students time every day to read books they choose. These books would fall in their hands.
