Learning about how to tell time is difficult when students can only see a clock move one minute at a time. Learning about parts of a plant is difficult when students can only see seeds grow one millimeter at a time. Having pride in a classroom can be difficult when students have to be cautious about tearing or breaking classroom materials that have lived well through their more useful years. As a newer teacher, many of my classroom materials come from garage sales, retired teachers, or are borrowed from others.
I believe every student deserves a quality learning environment. Interactive science and math materials will give students a chance for a hands on approach to help understand concepts. Colorful, sturdy storage and labels will help keep a busy classroom organized and last through the years!
