My students love reading. The requested book "Romiette And Julio" will gain the interest of my students because it is the modern version of Romeo and Julio! The students will make compare-contrast charts (using the two books) and create a project relating to themes and gang violence. A vocabulary word wall will also be created. Students will also research racism, bullying, gang violence and write an essay relating to those topics. My students will also write poems relating to the many different chapters in the book of Romiette and Julio. "AR" test will be taken and ten points will be awarded to those who make 100 on the test.
