I teach Family Consumer Science courses formerly known as Home Economics! My classroom has a kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stove, and a portable dishwasher. I also have a washer and dryer where I teach my Family Dynamics students how to sort, wash, and dry clothes along with teaching them how to iron, sew a button on their clothes, tie a tie, sweep, mop, sweep etc. I also teach Child Development where students learn about abstinence, STI's/STDs, pregnancy, etc. The other classes I teach under Family Consumer Science are Resource Management (A financial literacy course where students learn how to open a bank account, how credit works, debit/credit cards, buying a car, house, etc. Lastly, I teach Nutrition and Wellness where I teach my students the importance of maintaining their health with food and exercise, and they learn their way around the kitchen as much as they can. All classes are 9 weeks classes!
