We are currently using our rug for small group instruction, but the students become easily distracted and it becomes difficult to monitor what each student is doing. Having a horseshoe table in the classroom will help my students during small group instruction in reading, writing and math. This will allow me to quickly scan each students work and provide immediate instruction and feedback. This table will also make my students more willingly to actively participate. It will make teaching more effective as I will be able to help each student without spending much time moving from one place to another.
