I am almost finished with my Yoga 200 and SEL facilitator training with Breathe For Change, which is teaching me how to create opportunities for mindfulness and movement into our daily classroom routines. My class has experienced the amazing benefits already- they are calmer and more focused students, which has bolstered academic performance.
By funding this project, you will give my students the tools to further develop Social Emotional Learning into their daily routine. The tools are needed to make this accessible to all. It will give me the opportunity to also expand this to more students in my school through after school workshops, as well as for my fellow teachers.
My goal through these workshops and classroom practice is to instill kindness, self-love, physical and mental strength and balance, and, above all, inner peace and resiliency in my students.
