These materials will allow students to be engaged in various standards-based learning activities in the field of STEM. My students enjoy project-based learning and when they are able to roll up their sleeves, dive into a science project, and become scientists. These activities not only promote lifelong learning, but ignite the inner scientist in all students and lead them to college.
I know these materials will help out because if I do not get the support I need, many of our hands on projects would not occur. The various materials I have requested will fit into many different unit themed lab experiments. Working with the states of matter students will get a first hand look at the transformations occur from one state to another. The material will also be used for experiments on the water cycle such as trapping gas in a cup, or making it rain inside of a bottle. Many if not all the items I am requesting can, and will be, used across the curriculum for a variety of hands on learning explorations.
The school budget is so tight, there in no wiggle room for these types of additional materials. So, I go out and buy them so the learning never stops! Thank you for your support to keep my activities engaging, safe, and hands on to meet the diverse needs of all my students in every class, every day. Excellence without excuses is what I tell my students!
