All of the resources, that I have chosen, will be used to create maker's space center stations within my classroom. In 4th grade, we do a lot of STEM projects. Our students really like the art side of things, but we don't have Art class. By getting all of these resources, I will be able to incorporate them in order to do STEAM projects, which includes Art within the projects. These resources are going to help students thrive within the classroom by using their curiosity and imagination to create things. Everything that I have asked to be donated will be put to use for my students to learn through their imagination.
The donations from this project will help my students explore their curiosity through hands-on learning. I am asking for a 3D doodler so that students can create objects and physically be able to hold the object in their hand. In my project, I have also included littleBits, which are modules that students can snap together to create things. Students can create items to help explore how things are made and work. An example would be a type of electronic. Students will be able to create many different things that will help them further their learning and make real world connections. By making these connections, students will have a better understanding of what they are learning.
Some other products that I have asked for are duct tape kits and lego kits. With these items, students will be able to explore their creativity and build things. Often, students learn better when they are able to create a visual representation of what they are learning. Students will be able to use the legos to build and explore. When students can visualize things, they are able to have a more concrete understanding.
