Support Mrs. Ellison's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My students need new chairs to sit on. Our current plastic chairs are old, cracked, and no longer slide across my carpeted room. Students frequently scrape themselves on the sharp edges created by the cracks. The glide feet on the bottom of the chairs are sheered off making it so the chairs get stuck in our carpet and will not slide back from their desks. They wobble due to legs not being even any more.
This causes quite a bit of lost learning time in my classroom since students spend a lot of time messing with and trying to adjust their chairs. My handicap students have to move the actual desk to get out from their seats because they are not able to lift themselves and their chairs to adjust or leave their seats. This poses a safety risk in my classroom as not all students are not able to quickly leave their desks in the event of an emergency.
New seats in my classroom will help my students have pride in their classroom. They will be able to quickly get seated comfortably and focus on learning instead of unsticking their chairs from our carpets.
