Downtime and recess are so important during the school day. Our school has a wonderful playground, however, when the temperature is too cold or the weather isn't just right we are unable to go outdoors. When we are left inside we have limited activities we can do.
My classroom is in need of blocks and board games for indoor recess. With a collection of games and building blocks, my students will have opportunities to have fun, socialize, and enjoy downtime.
By allowing students recess and downtime to engage in play, students are able to refresh and reset in order to work efficiently and effectively in the classroom.
