Our school has a diverse population of a variety of races, cultures and socioeconomic statuses, with a majority of students receiving free or reduced lunches. Although many of our students come to school with a variety of challenges, they work hard and strive to persevere through whatever they face.
My first grade classroom is filled with caring and diverse young children who are ready and willing to learn. Every morning they come to our classroom door with smiles, bright eyes and enthusiastic "good mornings." Everyday when it's time to leave I hear, "I'm not ready to leave yet! I want to learn more!" We feed off of each other's enthusiasm and passion for learning. A love that I hope they will take with them forever.
