My students cannot afford their own chess boards. This is a great way for them to play at home against friends and one day teach the others this wonderful game.
In Youngstown, there children in poverty that are extremely bright but often get overlooked or are deprived of opportunities to show their talents. Chess is great to develop intelligence and personality of these students. With your help, my chess club students will be able to develop their skills as they become young adults and members of society. Perhaps even one day they can share their knowledge with others to keep this great game alive.
