Access to technology is becoming increasingly important in education and in the future job market. Through the use of technology, my students have been able to code robots and solve complex problems in code as young as 6th grade. There is no better feeling than the moment I had a student come to me and explain how he had finally figured out how to code.
Unfortunately, what we are able to do is limited because we have no way to charge the technology we have been given, leaving myself and my students feeling like a drained battery. Being able to access the apps and curriculum we once enjoyed would continue to power up their learning throughout the school year and beyond. Charging stations would allow for students to complete assignments in a way that prepares them for science and technology careers. These skills are foundational for many of the pathways they have chosen post-secondary.
