When a student is homeless in high school, it can cause high levels of stress and anxiety. While other students are able to focus on getting good grades and planning for college, students who are homeless often worry about basic necessities, such as food, clothing and shelter. The goal of this project is to give our students access to clean laundry. We would like to purchase a washer and dryer for our school. It will give struggling students the ability to have clean uniforms and this will hopefully, dramatically increase student confidence. Our goal is to minimize as many challenges for our students to ensure they stay on track, graduate and go on to college.
