This carpet will enhance our classroom environment significantly by providing enough room for all of the children to have their own special place at circle time. The carpet will help children learn colors, sorting, and counting. They will be able to recognize what color they are sitting on, and compare it to other colors in the room. Transitions can be made more effective for children by using their special colors. They can go on a scavenger hunt for the color they picked. We can play color swapping games. Most importantly, each child will have their own special color of their own choosing at the carpet each day.
