Although Chromebooks are available for students in our school, there are not enough for the students in my middle school Language Arts and Math classes to have their own.
With language based and other learning differences and emotional challenges, our students struggle with decoding, encoding and reading comprehension, making word problems in math, writing and literacy based activities difficult for them.
My students learn best when presented with interactive activities that tap into their natural facility with technology. This includes the many educational apps and programs, that are available online. Chromebooks keep students engaged and offers a way to share, review and compare their work with peers and teachers, thus enhancing and reinforcing their learning experience.
