The iPads are for students to use with OSMOs and during math and literacy centers which occur daily. During math centers they can use apps such as IXL, Prodigy, and Reflex which allows them to build proficiency with the varied math skills they need not just in school, but in everyday life. Literacy centers involve reading, writing, and demonstrating comprehension with apps like Raz kids, Readworks, and Myon. OSMO is an extension of the iPad. It has fun, educational programs which allow students to work on coding skills, reading, and math skills in a fun game like format.
My students LOVE using OSMO! However, our use is limited because we have one class iPad. The students love using technology in their daily lives and I'd love to continue that in the classroom environment with more iPads and OSMOs.
