With the increased accessibility of preschool in our community, preschool teachers and early childhood special education teachers are often the first person that families work with. We see a need for increased parent education to help create strong school and home connections. Using books to teach social skills is great way to strengthen the parent/child relationship and early literacy skills. Our students love having books read to them, which makes children's books the perfect gateway to discussing real life situations with them. Our hope is that parents will access our social/emotional library to find books that will help them read about and discuss difficult topics with their children.
