Online learning has been a challenge for any grade level, but teaching kindergarten online comes with a particular set of challenges that I was ready to face emotionally and physically (pro tip: the best way to engage students of the 5/6 year old set is through a lot of songs, dance, and I'm not embarrassed to say: cartoon voices.) My district-provided laptop is already outdated and on its way out (oh, your laptop doesn't have a line blinking across the screen? Just mine, okay, cool). This project will help me connect with my young scholars during our daily Zoom meetings. In addition to this, it will help immensely in daily lesson design and delivery.

About my class
