As a teacher in a low socioeconomic school district, my students face many challenges daily. Despite the challenges with the pandemic, my students are hard workers and want to be successful. Despite the challenges, I think it's important to have different learning tools in the classroom to motivate students to want to learn.
One of the tools I hope to use are the power dot pens. It is great learning practice and they would feel as if they are playing again while learning multiplication tables. I also like this activity because if I have a student who is struggling I can let them work on addition/subtraction until they develop those skills and start multiplication.
