Many of my students are reluctant readers and struggle to find books that they enjoy and look forward to reading. They have requested multiple times that we tackle the Harry Potter series but our school does not have copies of the books. My students are ready to jump into the wizarding world head first and receive their acceptance letters to Hogwarts. I have not yet witnessed any of my students read something that they REALLY enjoyed and looked forward to. Nor have they ever asked to read something. Having read the series multiple times myself, I know the wonderful world this series immerses you in. I know these books could make a difference in my students' attitude towards reading.
