Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will work to improve their comprehension covering standards such as RL3.1, RL4.1, and RL5.1.
These picture books will be used to help students discover new reading strategies such as those found in the Notice and Note teacher book. They will also be used in primary grade levels to teach the story elements. Teachers and students will use these books to help support their learning of different strategies such as contrast and contradiction, aha moments, again and again, and memory moments. The students will identify and discuss how using these strategies will help them understand the story.
