The Praying Mantis kit will give my students hands on experiences with a fascinating insect from their environment. They will get the chance to research details on this insect, as well as many others with the informative books included. In addition, they will get the chance to use the Chromebook to write and digitally present the information about their insects. The Chromebook will also allow my students to present to a global audience.
These items will help bring the sciences into our classroom through hands on activities. The students will be able to study insects inside our classroom and outside of it. Studying specimens found in our schoolyard will allow students the opportunity to collaborate and explore our habitat. It has been proven that spending time outside has many positive effects. I hope to bring my students outside to study insects, explore their environment and ignite their passion for entomology.
