I teach in a low income district in Paterson, NJ. My self contained autism class has limited access to technology. The district is struggling with donations for students to get chromebooks, and as my students are young (K-2) we are very low on the waiting list for any kind of donations. I am starting up this project to advocate for my students so they don't fall behind in this already confusing time for them. Many of my students are using their parents’ phones to access and complete assignments. It is also very difficult for my parents to share the little technology they have with my students because they need it to work from home so they can keep their children safe and fed. I'm looking for anything that anyone can give. My students and parents are frustrated and I would do anything I can to ease their pain and make life a little easier for them in this difficult time.
