My classroom has been learning all year about nature. We have been working alongside our families and students investigating and applying Project Approach. We have introduced the students to magnifying glasses, a telescope and recently a pair of binoculars. Providing each child their own pair of binoculars will provide them with the materials they need to continue their investigation over the summer with their family. They will use them to observe bugs and wildlife that they cannot reach or see with their eye. Many of our students have never owned a pair of binoculars and my introduction to them this year, was the first time they have ever seen a pair.
