I was lucky to inherit a classroom from a long time teacher after she retired. I was able to use the double-sided whiteboard easel that she left this past year, however it no longer functions as a whiteboard. Additionally, our literacy curriculum requires about 5 new anchor charts per week, that cannot be attached to the easel (the hooks are broken, and it is not magnetic!).
This new whiteboard will be an engaging tool my students can use in math and literacy! They can build words with magnetic letters on this easel, which can be stored conveniently below and practice writing letters and numbers on the lined side. Thinking ahead to distance learning, a fully functional easel will help me record high quality lessons for students at home.
