Can you think of a better way to encourage students to use their "thinking caps" than to actually be wearing construction hats in a Construction Zone while they learn? Students will need to navigate between the construction cones and tape wearing their hard hats and vests to create an imaginative story by using prompts placed on the cones. The best part is that they will get to synergize with their "Construction Crew" to develop a well thought out, correctly structured story. This environment takes learning to the next level, encouraging students to synergize and use higher order thinking skills. These same construction tools can also be used to encourage students to "construct" their own math problems like those they have been taught to solve. It facilities concrete learning that encourages working with others, which is a much needed skill in today's society!
