My students need iPads to be able to access learning programs that will be able to help them reach their needs. If I receive iPads and learning materials for my classroom, it will enable me to differentiate my instruction even more. For example, I could teach a lesson geared to the skill the students are working on. If I was teaching a lesson about numbers, the iPad would allow the non-verbal student the ability to identify the number by pressing the specific number. The hands-on materials would allow the students to touch the number and identify the correct one.
My students need iPads to close the achievement gap.
Students with special needs need different strategies to help them grasp the skills being taught. My students need reliable technology in the classroom so that they can meet their expectations, regardless of their abilities and situations. Our lessons will be more interactive and grasp students’ attention. It is necessary to provide my students with the tools that they need to be successful and feel that they can accomplish anything because they have the tools that they need!
