These resources will allow my Pre-K students to experience a variety of hands-on learning concepts utilizing STEAM. Students will be able to work in small groups during small group instruction and free choice play to explore the science and art concepts of critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and so much more. This project would allow my students to explore STEAM through the use of a table top light table. The light table is an excellent source of visual sensory input and will allow students to engineer structures using transparent materials.
Students will work together in groups to create and manipulate hands-on materials in several different areas within the classroom.
Students will take part in a sensory experience through the use of table top easels to create works of art. The students can paint or draw the structures they built or use different mediums to create textured masterpieces.
By allowing my students to learn through exploration, they are using creativity in diverse ways and gaining many new, exciting experiences
