I am trying to replace the classic classroom look of chairs and desks with new seating options. Research shows that flexible seating increases student engagement, motivation, and collaboration. I want my students to be able to focus and make choices to better their learning, and know that those choices directly affect their success. My students are active learners and will benefit from having active furniture.
With your donation, I will be able to offer students a variety of seating options based on what best meets their needs.
We need wobble stools, a new rug for reading and whole/small group lessons, and go anywhere seats for students who prefer to sit on the floor. I am looking forward to creating a positive learning environment and provide my second graders with a variety of flexible seating options to help them focus and learn.
