My students come right in and find a place on the carpet. Although it's better than the hard floor, it's not very comfortable and often they are wiggling around to get comfortable. Sitting on a chair or a couch would make learning so much better because my students would be comfortable and focusing on the lesson rather than on moving around to get comfortable. Cozy and comfortable seating will help some of students stay on task rather than concentrating on how uncomfortable they are sitting on the floor during the whole group lessons. This furnitue would make them better learners!
