The students will have a unique opportunity to learn in a hands on way about reptiles. They will also have fun taking an active role in the pet’s daily care and in doing so will learn responsibility and compassion for other living things. I already have the bearded dragon and most of it's basics needs me so this grant will help me provide a better UVB fixture to span the length of the tank and extra lights. This fixture will ensure proper lighting for the health of the dragon. I am also planning on starting my own dubia roach colony to provide a more economical way to feed our dragon the best nutrition possible. Through this, the students will also learn about life cycles, food chains, and animal husbandry.
