During independent reading times students can choose a location in the classroom and a seating option that works for them. I want them to be able to having interesting and meaningful texts about people who are innovators, creators, scientists and athletes. Our materials will be used during our daily five and center rotations. The students will get excited about being able to go to our classroom library and make good choices about how they will learn. They will have options like wobble cushions and bean bags to allow them to move while they learn.
Having quality texts and a unique reading area will allow them to grow academically by leaps and bounds!
My students are always asking about who people are, why they do what they do, and as a result they want to be better themselves!
