Since many of my students are English Language Learners, we spend a good deal of our days together learning vocabulary. The best way to do this is through books!
I have created thematic vocabulary lessons that are book-centered and engaging, but the books we need aren't always available from our school library. I have utilized YouTube for some of the books, but nothing beats reading a page-turner with my students!
My students desire to have quality, vocabulary-building books in their hands at all times! They love books! The discussions we have around the stories and vocabulary are priceless, and these discussions are just what they need to build their English skills!
I have created a wish list of many of the books we love the best and use the most to build English vocabulary and speaking skills.
