This leveled book cart and leveled books will help guide my students in choosing "just right" books. It will give them the confidence to read and grow in their literacy. A variety of books to choose from will allow my students to explore ideas that interest them most. While in my room, I am teaching them the strategies to read, it is my goal to plant within them a love of reading. Students need to be able to access texts that they can be successful reading. They can celebrate their successes in reading growth as they get to grow up the levels and find different book choices. The leveled cart will also help my students learn how to be organized and will be a way to help them gain confidence in learning independence. They will be given a chance to take ownership of their literacy development.
