My students are constantly asking to borrow each other's headphones or to use another teacher's headphones. By having their own headphones, students can enjoy listening to music while they work on IXL or while they type their essays. This helps many of them focus on their work. For some, it keeps them calm/happy.
Students who benefit from extra support have the opportunity to listen to their science articles online, but can't without headphones. Having enough headphones in the classroom would allow students instant access to music, having their articles read to them, and would allow them to watch videos while researching in class.
