I teach first grade at Mill Creek Elementary School in Madison, Alabama. Our school community is rich with a diverse population of learners from a variety of cultures whose families come to the area for engineering, technology, and space research jobs.
As part of my daily routine, students are given Morning Choice tubs to start their day exploring, chatting, and building with friends. Many of these materials provide opportunities for STEM learning. However, the students simply view it as a fun time to "play" with their friends before our daily lessons begin.
I would love to expand my collection of Morning Choice materials so I can provide more opportunities to build student's creativity, perseverance, collaboration, and innovation. Through these experiences, we can build a strong foundation of future designers and leaders.
