Research shows how very important it is for children to be read to, especially while they are young. Reading aloud to children promotes oral language development and early literacy skills. Unfortunately, many students from low socio-economic communities are not provided with these experiences.
My goal is to obtain a classroom library that will not only enhance early literacy skills, but will also help to create a strong foundation in math, science, and help develop positive social skills.
Each book listed in this project collaborates with a purposeful lesson plan designed to help students reach high academic achievement and build caring and compassionate members of our community.
